For the zine workshop I decided to make a zine somewhat related to my project as this could be a way to start working on it. I drew in my sketchbook things and situations from my daily life related to food and eating.
The only restrictions we had on this brief was that it should be an A5 size and at least 24pages.

After I had some drawings I started trying to pair them together and also thinking about their sequence in the zine, I did a layout which was adjusted later as new content was added.

I decided to not use the computer at all in this project (with the exception of printing the sheet for screenprinting), so I tried to explore what I could do with a photocopier: enlarging/reducing the images, doing copies of copies (of copies..), using colored paper etc.

For the cover I decided to make use of a finished product related to the theme - a cook book - one page was used for each cover, creating a relationship between the "found object" and the new product and also conveying a relaxed aesthetic which relates to the zine context. This gave a unique feel to every copy as each got its own cover. The title
queres vir jantar? ("wanna come for dinner?") was screenprinted in these pages.
